Paving and Overlays
Laying asphalt in a new area, or applying a new layer of asphalt over the old surface enhances the durability appearance of your existing pavement.
Overlays
An Overlay, also sometimes referred to as "asphalt resurfacing" is when a new layer of asphalt is placed over an existing layer of pavement. This is typically done when the current surface is too damaged for most other repair work, but is still solid enough to be a base layer for new pavement. This can be more cost-effective than a complete replacement paving project, and in some cases can be combined with other paving or repair methods to best suit your asphalt needs.

Paving
Paving is the installation of brand new asphalt over a surface where it was not existing before. Sometimes this is done via "R&R", or removing and replacing a previously existing paved surface. Other times this is a New Pave, where a dirt or other non-asphalt surface is prepped and graded before an asphalt mix is laid on top, creating a new lot, roadway, or drive.
